My interest in the mind-body-spirit connection has been life-long. To me, the body is a healing machine, designed to heal itself provided the right conditions. The health of body, mind, and soul are inseparably linked. Before I started practicing these therapies, I was the guinea for them, and I benefited enormously from them.
My course of study in acupuncture included the adjunct therapies of tui na massage, cupping, moxibustion and gua sha. I am certified in medical Qigong, a certified Reiki master, and well-versed in rehabilitative exercise. I have helped many patients with a wide variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries and pain, neurological conditions, sleep disorders, digestive issues, stress/anxiety, migraines, chronic illness and more.
I am a certified instructor for Tai Chi, Qigong, Animal Flow and Systema, the Russian system of healing movement and martial arts. I enjoy teaching in an environment that encourages interaction, exploration and individual expression.
My medical and movement practices have been shaped by years of international study with teachers of diverse healing arts, martial arts and intuitive skills. I am passionate about sharing this complementary blend of modalities in helping clients toward healing, fitness and overall wellbeing. In conjunction with Eastern medical diagnosis, I also use intuitive methods to help guide patient evaluation and develop a treatment approach that considers “the whole patient.”
Currently, Patrick practices at Healing Leaves Holistic Center at 1015 S Kerr Ave in Wilmington, NC. He is also available for house calls and group, or private, movement classes.
